Every day, teams make decisions that directly affect whether a job makes money or loses it — like crew time, change orders, rework and overtime. Led by former SMACNA National President Angie Simon, this 4-hour hands-on session gives forepersons the financial awareness to make smarter field calls: reading job cost reports, tracking labor productivity, protecting change orders and flagging problems before they become expensive.
Using real-world examples and scenarios, attendees will work through situations like a productivity factor trending 50% over budget, a GC super who wants work done before the paperwork exists and how to think through an overtime decision. Participants will leave with ready-to-use tools that you can put to work right away.
SMACNA-Western Washington is pleased to offer specialized Foreman Upgrade Training. This training aligns with the terms outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and supports professional development for Foremen and Lead Foremen in our industry.
Upon annual completion of sixteen (16) hours of continuing education certified by the JATC, eligible foremen may increase their wage to 12.5% and lead foremen may increase their wage to 17.5%. Please email admin@smacnaww.org for a copy of the full policy.
